How do I check my e-mail?

MPD Global offers support for a multiple methods of e-mail checking. This includes common protocols of “imap” and “pop” as well as a webmail system.

The primary, and supported, method of checking your e-mail is via our webmail system. Webmail can be accessed by pointing your browser to http://webmail.mpdglobal.com.

Once you are presented with the login window, you will need to enter your login (once again, without the ‘@example.com’) and your password. Once your are logged in, you will see a standard webmail interface, with your folders on the left, and your inbox on the right. MPD Global currently uses a webmail program called “SquirrelMail” which supports address books, spell checking, attachments, auto-reply vacation messages, and all the other good stuff one expects from a webmail system. Please feel free to contact MPD Global if you are looking for a specific functionality, and we will let you know if we have it and support it.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT WEBMAIL: Webmail is a browser-based e-mail system, and thus is governed by the rules of your specific browser. Unlike e-mail programs like Eudora, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc. your e-mail session WILL TIME OUT after a certain period of time. This means that if you spend an hour writing an e-mail without spell-checking, or otherwise “using” the webmail interface, the server will think you simply left and close out your session… and you will lose your e-mail!
